5 held in Canada killings tied to bikers; POLICE SAY 8 DEATHS
PART OF BANDIDOS' 'INTERNAL CLEANSING'By Beth Duff-Brown ASSOCIATED
PRESS; LONDON, Ontario - Canadian police arrested five
people on murder charges yesterday in one of Canada's worst mass
killings and said eight men found inside vehicles on an isolated farm
over the weekend were affiliated with a biker gang. Police called the
killings "an internal cleansing" of the Bandidos motorcycle
gang. Detective Ross Bingley of the Ontario Provincial Police said
investigators didn't think a biker gang war was imminent. "This
is an isolated incident with ties to the Bandidos," he said.
Police said they arrested five people at a modest, two-story farmhouse
6 miles from the site where the bodies were found in four vehicles Saturday
morning on a farm in Shedden, Ontario, 90 miles northeast of
Detroit. The victims died of gunshot wounds, police said. Autopsies

LAUREN RAE BRIMMER - Big bikes rally for Fallbrook scholarship
run; For the North County Times; A bevy of Harley Davidsons and
their riders in black and leather filled the parking lot of St. Peter's
Catholic Church in Fallbrook on Saturday morning, as a cheerful
horde of about 500 bikers prepared to ride in the second annual Bikers
for Education Ride & Rally. Commencing with a pancake and sausage
breakfast followed by a blessing of the bikes, the charity event was
expected to raise at least $30,000 for children of fallen military service
members to attend college. Participants clearly enjoyed the sun-drenched
morning before embarking on their scenic 90-mile route from Fallbrook
to Valley Center. After paying expenses of the event, all money collected
through entrance fees and raffles will go to the scholarship fund of
Freedom Alliance, according to Karen Downey, wife of rally founder Mathew
Downey. "My husband has always felt strongly about education,"
Downey said. "(Looking for a way to contribute) he felt that helping
children of fallen soldiers was where his heart was." Read

motorcycle news event story; Hog, not bull, riding at this
rodeo; More than a hundred law enforcement officers showed off their
skills at the 17th Southeast Police Motorcycle Rodeo Saturday

The rodeo in Coral Springs on Saturday did not showcase cowboys
trying to stay seated on the back of thrashing bulls. There weren't
any men in hats chasing down calves or wrestling them to the ground.
And there was no bronco busting. These rodeo participants were decked
out in full police uniforms, and rode bulky motorcycles bearing
the insignia of the agency they represented. More than 100 law-enforcement
officers showed off their motorcycle riding skills Saturday at
the 17th Southeast Police Motorcycle Rodeo. Officers negotiated
narrow, snaking paths marked by orange traffic cones in the parking
lot of the Coral Square Mall in Coral Springs.

accused of threatening to let bike-gang members rape woman; A
33-year-old Wausau man is in custody after a woman says he beat
her and threatened to let members of his motorcycle gang rape
her. Charges against Richard Alsteen Junior include two felony counts
of substantial battery and 12 felony counts of bail jumping. The woman
initially refused to press charges after police investigated an altercation
in which she suffered a broken nose. She later told investigators she
was afraid of Alsteen's ties to the Outlaws Motorcycle Club.

March 25, 2006; SUFFOLK, Virginia USA; Living the highway high life in Suffolk; By JULIE HAGY, The Virginian-Pilot; Every Tuesday night, anywhere between 20 to 200 people gather at Tidewater Motorcycles on Godwin Boulevard. They come to talk about motorcycles, buy bike accessories and eat free, chili-smothered hot dogs provided by the store. Pat Brewer, owner of the shop, says the event has increased in popularity, as has the pastime of motorcycle riding in Suffolk. During the winter months, the shop usually sees about 20 bikers ride up from cities all over Hampton Roads for the Tuesday night Chilly Dog Social. On summer nights, when the weather is just right for a nice ride through the country, the spacious lot on Godwin Boulevard is filled with between 100 to 200 bikes and riders. read the entire news story here... Melton Motorcycle Club championships begin this weekend; This Sunday
26th March, the first round of the Melton Motorcycle Club championships
kicks off with a motocross at the Mt Cottrell reserve track in Rockbank,
Victoria. This year the championship consists of 6 rounds covering mx,
grasstrack mx, sprint and cross country events. Juniors are also catered
for across the whole series. To compete you must be a Melton club member
to participate - club membership is available on the day and is $60
for a single or $100 for a family. Entry fees for the race are $30 for
seniors and $25 for juniors. Day MV race licences are also available.

rally draws Point Township residents' ire. By Amanda Keister The
Daily Item; A group of Point Township residents will be at a
meeting of the board of supervisors tonight to protest Pennsylvania
Rally on the River, a motorcycle event to be held in June
and September at a township campground. Dave Ramsey, who owns the Lodge's
Run Mill House along Route 11, was made aware of the event through
a pamphlet he came across in Harrisburg. He said he views it
as a weekend of adult entertainment. "Myself, my wife and there
are some other people in the area who are trying to promote the good
things through Northumberland-Point Township History Day, and
this event being planned very nearby ... is counteractive to what we're
trying to promote for the area," Mr. Ramsey said. This is the second

The 3rd Annual South Texas Motorcycle Show; The 3rd Annual South Texas
Motorcycle Show is scheduled for March 17 - 19, 2006, at the Freeman
