April 16, 2006; Glasgow UK; Biker 'bunnies' bring Easter joy ; Biker Karen McConnall talks to Grant Wetherall outside the hospital; More than 5,000 biker 'bunnies' have brought some Easter cheer to a children's hospital in Glasgow.

The Motorcycle Action Group gave hundreds of chocolate eggs to patients at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in its annual Easter Egg Run. Many of the bikers were in fancy dress and the group's Stuart Regan said they were delighted to help the children have a happy Easter.

A hospital spokeswoman dubbed the event "a huge success". Organisers hoped the fun day would raise thousands of pounds for the hospital and the final figure is expected to be announced on Tuesday. Get the whole motorcycle story here...

Melton Motorcycle Club championships begin this weekend; This Sunday 26th March, the first round of the Melton Motorcycle Club championships kicks off with a motocross at the Mt Cottrell reserve track in Rockbank, Victoria.

This year the championship consists of 6 rounds covering mx, grasstrack mx, sprint and cross country events. Juniors are also catered for across the whole series.

To compete you must be a Melton club member to participate - club membership is available on the day and is $60 for a single or $100 for a family. March 21, 2006; Australia; Biker club members get bail in brawl court case. 21/03/2006. ABC News Online; Biker club members get bail in brawl court case;

A magistrate has granted bail to two members of the Finks Motorcycle Club who were charged after a violent brawl at a kickboxing tournament on Queensland's Gold Coast last Saturday night.

Ross Thomas, 32, from Alice Springs, and Benjamin Young, 25, from Adelaide, were both charged with affray after the incident in which members of the Finks and Hells Angels clubs were shot and stabbed.

A third man, Christopher Hudson, 27, from the Gold Coast, also appeared in Southport Magistrates Court on a charge of affray. His bail application was refused.

All three men are due to face a committal hearing in August.

By Amanda Keister The Daily Item; A group of Point Township residents will be at a meeting of the board of supervisors tonight to protest Pennsylvania Rally on the River, a motorcycle event to be held in June and September at a township campground. Dave Ramsey, who owns the Lodge's Run Mill House along Route 11, was made aware of the event through a pamphlet he came across in Harrisburg.

He said he views it as a weekend of adult entertainment. "Myself, my wife and there are some other people in the area who are trying to promote the good things through Northumberland-Point Township History Day, and this event being planned very nearby ... is counteractive to what we're trying to promote for the area," Mr. Ramsey said. This is the second year the event will be held. Apr 02 18:25; Malaysia Thailand Indonesian big motorcycle lovers to tour Malaysia, Thailand; - As many as 70 people grouped in the Indonesian Big Motorcycle Lovers Association (IPMB) will tour Malaysia and Thailand beginning April 7 to promote Tour de Peninsular 2006, a spokesman said.

The next Tour Peninsular 2006 would be the third of its kind after similar events were held in 2004 and 2005, the event`s program director, Boyke Subroto, said in a meeting with IPMB chairman Fahmi Idris here Sunday. The Tour de Peninsular 2004 began in Pontianak, capital of West Kalimantan, and finished in Brunei Darussalam; and the Goodwill Brotherhood Journey 2005 started in Semarang, capital of Central Java, and finished in Bali. BEIJING -- China is getting its first taste of hog heaven.

America's Harley-Davidson opened its first dealership in China on Saturday.

The company said China's development and long-term market potential are appealing. A statement said it's the first step toward bringing the Harley-Davidson lifestyle to Chinese motorcycle enthusiasts.

Along with selling the bikes and parts, the after-sale service will include offers for rider training and organized rides.

The company says it will move gradually into the Chinese market, mainly because of riding restrictions in most large cities and on highways.

HUNDREDS of toys were donated to two hospitals following the Accrington Motorcycle Club's annual Easter Toy Run. Around 60 riders set off from the Hope and Anchor Pub, Whalley Road, Accrington, and had a police escort to Blackburn Royal Infirmary and Queen's Park Hospital.

Also in the convoy was a transit van full of toys which had been collected by the club for poorly children.

Mick Priestley, chairman of the club, said: "It was a success, although in previous years we have donated more, but the weather was against us."
